England Schools Selection

I am delighted to report that Michael Scott (Chatham Town) and Adam Molloy (Dulwich Hamlet C ) have been selected for the 18 man England Schools squad for this season.

This is the second year in a row for Mike and great once again for Kent football. Mike has been selected to play at either right back or in midfield (Mr Versatility) and Adam is a goalkeeper who I know is highly thought of at Dulwich.

Congratulations to both players on their selection and I will keep an eye on results as they compete in the forthcoming Home Internationals. This is of course the route that Chris Smalling lately of Fulham and soon to be Manchester United progressed through when he represented the Schools side.

Mike did captain the County side for me at Under 16 and although he no longer plays for the County side, we do keep in regular contact and I am sure the whole family will be very proud of his achievement once again.

Well done also to the Kent Schools Coaching staff, Manager  John Coles and to Phil Harding to maintain at least 2 Kent players into the England squad yet again.

The Schools are also through to the semi final of the Nationals competition at Under 18 so it would be great if we could pull off the double this season (FA County Youth Cup and ESFA National Cup).
