Double Header Fixtures - PLEASE READ
The Fixture Secretaries have cast some double header games for the rest of the season. For those of you not familiar with this, it means that you will be asked to play both games against your opposition at the same location, but playing two games.
This is used to try and help when there is a backlog of fixtures. Having discussed this with the fixture secretaries it has been agreed, that if you do NOT want to play a double header, you must contact your opposition, and agree an alternative date before 16th May 2010 which is when the season ends. This likely to be a midweek game, but your fixture secretary will need a confirmation email from both clubs agreeing to the change in fixture.
The agreed alternative date must be with the fixture secretary 14 DAYS or 2 WEEKS before the fixture is due to be played. You will appreciate that we are then asking match officials to officiate two games, so they will not be able to ref any other games on that day.
Gavin has produced an excellent guide attached which confirms the full details of times of games for each age groups and the important rest period between each game. Please read it carefully and if you have any questions please contact Gavin.
The fixture secretaries will be implementing all of the information contained in this message with immediate effect. If you are not sure ask and please do not assume.
The game will be played on the ground that will show the same for both games. AM kick offs will be shown as 11.00am and 12.30pm and PM kick offs 2.00pm and 3.30pm.
It is up to you as clubs to decide how you want to deal with double headers, but all games have to be played before the end of the season.
Thank you.
Ken on behalf of the League Management Committee
