Fixtures and Cup Draw - All clubs Please Read
ALL CLUBS. We are delighted to be able to produce the fixtures for the League Season 2009/2010. The fixtures also include the 1st Round of the League Cup for all age groups. If you have not got a 1st Round tie then you have a Bye into Round 2.
In time the County Cup's for London and Kent will be added and of course those fixtures will take priority over any League fixture cast. There are blank calendar days when the 1st round of the KCFA County Cup games will be played. There will also be additional fixtures added to weeks where League Cups have been cast and these will be on the site after Wednesday 15th July 2009.
Please note that in priority order, the County Cups take precedence over our Legaue Cups which in turn take precedence over our League programme.
The fixtures are designed to give all clubs an opportunity to plan ahead. We are aware that some clubs may not have a ground available on certain days. We know that some clubs may be planning tours. We are trying to establish as much flexibility as we can this season, which really blossomed towards the end of last season, when clubs worked tirelessly in arranging fixtures between themselves.
Initially you may not have the other teams contact details. Andy will be sorting that out shortly.
We will require BOTH clubs to agree to a change to a fixture date. If a request is made and both clubs cannot agree then the Fixture Secretary will make the final decision.
An example might be: you have a home game provisionally scheduled for 6th September but you do not have a pitch. Please approach your opposition to reverse the fixture. If that club is in the same position please agree a new date and advise the Fixture Secretary.
We will NOT accept requests for moving fixtures if you have failed to Register enough players. We will check with Bill Kelly our Registration Secretary constantly!
The final says will always be with the Fixture Secretary. Once we reach 7 days before a fixture is due to be played it will be too late then to request a postponement unless players are called up to represent the County sides.
If you have any questions re the above statements please email Andy Cowan at acowan.referee@yahoo.co.uk copying in ken.brooke@kentyouthleague.co.uk please.
Andy will be training his Fixture Secretaries on Wednesday this week to ready for the start of the season, at which time they will take control of the fixtures for the season ahead. Their details will be emailed to Club Secretaries later this week.
Please note that every attempt has been made to locate grounds by Post Codes. Please ensure that the map takes teams to your ground and not your next door neighbour! Ken has edited all 151 teams in respect of kits and grounds so if they are not correct please email as above.
There are 55 days until the start of the season so we hope this early start will be useful to you. There is plenty of time to make sure that you can plan ahead so please use it wisely and don't leave things to the last minute!!
Thank You
League Management Committee
