F.A.Football Workforce Award

Sue Billings----------

Tha Fa have recognised this persons dedication to the game particularly in the youth section. Their efficiency and commitment is at a level that would find itself at home at the highest level. Not only a great asset to this league but a loyal supporter to the County and to the football community at large all this and a successful business and a mum. The league is proud that the FA has recognised Sue Billings for this award.

League  F.A.Workforce

Ken Tomlinson  (Margate FC)  Continued long & meritorious service.

The Committee recognised the long service given by this person to both his club and the league, has been involved probably since the leagues conception. There is always a welcome from this person whenever his club is visited.

Terry Cooper  (Referee).   Continued long & meritorious service.

The committee again recognised the long service given to this league, by this person. This person maintains a consistent approach when refereeing on this league and is popular with all clubs and the league management committee. A true supporter of this leagues ethos.

Peter Lodge (Lewisham Youth FC) Unsung Hero manager Secretary Tea boy.

The Committee recognised this person as an unsung hero at his club, has been seen as manager coach secretary grounds man and even tea boy. Even the inconvenience of a broken leg did not stop his participation in the game.

Peter Grace  (Referee)    Continued long & meritorious service.

The committee again recognised this persons long service to this league, he is a fully committed referee a consistent performer and an all round decent person. The League will shortly be benefitting by his addition to the Management Committee.

Micheala Davis  (Real 60 FC)  An Exemplary start with the KYL.

The committee also felt that awards should be gained by clubs and persons new to the league who showed exemplary commitment in their start within the league. The committee recognised this person over the past two seasons as just such a person, a popular person with committee members at games as well as all the referees that have visited this club, this person seems to take an active part in all aspects.

Ken Brooke----  Outstanding service to League clubs and players.

The committee also recognised achievement to this league from all areas. This person has moved across from being a Manager of a team in this league to being a leading member of the Management team. He is responsible for helping take this league into the 21st century and remains in full control of the development of the Leagues website, couple this with taking on the KCFA under 18 and 16s in representative football and  the small matter of taking the under18s to the F A County cup final furthering the careers of many of the KYL players.

 Referee of the Year.

Andrew Brown:

The award this year was already becoming a three horse race by the half way stage. By the time we arrived at a finals it was clear to me who would be the front runner by the time I made my recommendation. With 41 games to his name this season on this league alone and with two of them not returning any marks, he still maintained an average mark of 85.04 over the 39 marking games. This in my view is consistency at its best, this person has clearly risen to the challenge that I have laid out about setting and maintain a high standard. With his son about to join the refereeing fraternity and hopefully this league I am sure this award will be a hard one to prise away from this family. The league is pleased to award this year’s referee of the year to......

Secretary of the Year

Richard Kemp  (Bromley FC)

The award this year, goes to a secretary, who like many of his counterparts stands out above the average. I have yet to hear a cross word even when we have disagreed on some issues. Running one of the largest groups of teams in this league, he has managed to keep up with all the extras that the league has had to add to an already overburdened  workload. All of the committee has had nothing but praise for this person. The award this year is given to the only person in the league that has already received a knighthood. ( well he is known to us as Sir Richard of Bromley!) The award goes to........................
