I would just like to say thanks to the referee for last Sunday’s game. Lee Culpeck has refereed a few of our games over the past two seasons, and I have been very impressed him.
He had an excellent game, but more to the point, he is approachable, with an excellent attitude, and certainly gets him self about the pitch as close to play as possible.
I have found a few referees don’t seem to enjoy what they do, or they somehow need to show dictatorship qualities, which shows in communication with the managers.
Lee, however was a pleasure to have refereeing the game, and others could learn from him how he manages to be “firm but friendly”……….Maybe more refs should adopt that motto.
