KCFA Under 18 Squad Update

Following on from last weeks trial, a letter will be sent out tomorrow to those players who we feel are not quite ready to step up to County standard.

Our job is to put together a squad which we feel can give us a good chance to keep the FA County Youth Cup in Kent for another season.

Those players who played at under 16 and under 18 last season have no preferential treatment, and each player will be judged on their trial performance and in the two forthcoming friendlies.

No letters will be forwarded other than tomorrow's until after the 2 friendly games and the training session we hope to have on 20th September.

We are also out on Sunday's watching you play for your clubs so please be aware that we try to cover all eventualities.

The squad is blessed with excellent midfield players, but we need to look at all other areas. You will hopefully get a chance, but sometimes the step up from Under 16 to Under 18 can be a bridge too far.

The squad for the Schools game tomorrow is:

Luke Prentice - Margate F.C.
Stevie Sutton - Dartford F.C.
George Hutchins - Corinthian F.C.
George Benner - Corinthian F.C.
Ryan Wall - Welling United F.C.
Sean Raggett - Dover Athletic
Sam Beale - Tonbridge Angels
Ray Knight - Corinthinan F.C.
Sam Pain - Margate F.C.
Elliott West - Corinthian F.C.
Josh West - Dartford F.C.
Bola - Faversham Town F.C.
Eddie Sharman - Ebbsfleet United F.C.
Jack Funnell - Tonbridge Angels F.C.
James Clack - Tonbridge Angels F.C.
Scott Heard - Whitstable Town F.C.
Jack Taylor - Welling United F.C.
We will ensure that messages are better communicated to players some of whom did not quite understand the message from last Wednesday. I am sorry if I did not clarify the position.
We will send out details for the Essex by Monday of next week.
This is a very tough year for us all, and rest assured the Management team is again setting very tough targets for the squad.
I hope this clarifies our position.
Ken
