Referees Course - Orpington
Thank you for showing interest in joining the Kent County FA Training course to become a level 7/8 referee.
We are aiming to start the Orpington course on Tuesday 7th September 2010. As there are limited places can I ask you to register on the KCFA web page link
below, ASAP and no later than the 20th August 2010. Apologies for those that have returned their detail to me, this is a new process which the KCFA
have asked us to follow.
If you already summited your detail on this website, then you should already be registered to attend the course.
If you are not based in the Orpington / Bromley area, there are other courses around the county that may be closer to where you live. These locations
are also listed on the KCFA web site.
As part of the course you will need to referee 6 games, which will be arranged on a Sunday Morning / Lunchtime. If you are committed to other football
commitments at this time, as a player or a club official, please be aware it is very difficult to find suitable games with mentors outside of this period.
If you are unable to commit to referee games at this time on this programme, you will not complete the course. Which will be a wasted exercise for both
the trainee and the training team.
For those who wish to join a course for interest in the laws or for a qualification, then this is not a suitable course for your needs, as our goal is to train
people who will be available to referee most weekends, either for a league or for a dedicated club at youth level.
We are investigating the possibility of a course geared for players or for people who want to learn the laws as a qualification for a teaching or coaching role;
currently this is not yet available.
