Season 2012/2013
Welcome to the Kent Youth League Website which is something that the League and my Officers are very proud of as we continue to provide you with all the information that you need about the League for the coming season.
This season we have 180 teams in the League an increase of 21 on last season, across 17 Divisions from age groups Under 13 - Under 18. We have also introduced 2 Premier Leagues for Under 18’s, which has received excellent support from the clubs. Premier Division 1 is for those clubs committed to playing on first team pitches with the use of floodlights. The League will be providing 3 officials for those games this season. Premier Division 2 is for those clubs using a first team pitch but as yet do not have floodlights. We are hoping that these Divisions will help our Under 18s bridge the gap between youth and adult football, and is a reward for those clubs using the best facilities.
We continue to supply players for the Kent FA Representative Teams at both under 16 and under 18 level, which is well supported by all our clubs. We also are responsible for the administration of the Teams and provide our clubs with opportunity to postpone matches should they have 1 goalkeeper or 2 outfield players called up to the County squad. This also includes those teams who supply players to the London F.A. This last season the Kent Under 16s won the South East Counties Championship and also represented the South East Counties competition in a one off game vs South West Counties which the boys managed to win 3-1 in what was an excellent advert for Youth football.
Again, this last season, many players from the League have been scouted by Professional clubs and this is as a result of the excellent coaching provided by Team Managers and Coaches throughout the County as well as the excellent standard of football we see every Sunday.

The League is very proud that Nike UK has become a major sponsor for the first time. It is fantastic recognition of how the League has developed. My thanks to Nike for their support and to all our sponsors of the League.
Please use this website as often as you like, as my Officers work tirelessly to ensure it is always up to date and fresh, and if you want any details on advertising then please contact Ken Brooke our Website Manager who will be happy to help you.
We wish all our clubs every success in 2012/2013 and we will continue to bring improvements to the website as we want to maintain the very high standards that we set. My thanks to Headley Brothers who have worked tirelessly with Ken and the team to continue making the changes which makes the site unique.
It is yours - use it. Co-operate with Ken Brooke, our Website Manager, and let’s continue to make it even more successful into the future. Above all - tell everyone concerned with your club about it.
This will be my last season as Chief Executive of the League as myself and Sheila will be taking a well earned retirement at the end of this season. However, I am very confident that we have a team in place that will continue to maintain the standards which sets this League apart.
Have a great season.
Colin Boswell - Chief Executive
